My initial nurses training was through Biola University where I received by BSN. I did my midwifery training in Scotland and was certified several years later in the U.S. I am a member of ACNM and an educational affiliate of ACOG. I enjoy seeing a broad spectrum of women, not only during pregnancy and birth but also for some limited GYN. I have been with this practice for over 20 years. I am married with two grown girls. Several of my interests outside my profession are photography and quilting. |

I am a registered Obstetrical/Gynecological Nurse Practitioner, with a second specialty as a Certified Nurse Midwife. I am a Registered Nurse who has acquired additional clinical skills and medical knowledge in women’s health care through successful completion of a formal academic program. I attended the University of Sonora, Sonora, Mexico where I obtained a B.A. in Chemistry. I attended Modesto Junior College for my nursing degree and later attended the EPA Midwifery Education Program at California State University, San Jose, for my certification as an OB/GYN Nurse Practioner and Certified Nurse Midwife. I have lived in the Modesto community for over 24 years and I am proud to say that I have delivered over 1000 happy smiling babies to proud parents since starting my practice. I work closely with all physicians on providing quality care services for women including; yearly physicals, pap smears, GYN problems, vaginal infections, birth control and hormone replacement management. My obstetrics practice focuses on successful, happy outcomes for newborns and parents by devoting the time, special care and compassion that each family deserves during this very momentous occasion. |

I graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Biology and knew I wanted to pursue midwifery and women’s healthcare. Moving on to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, I obtained my RN license and continued there for my Masters of Science in Nursing with a focus on midwifery. I became a Nurse Midwife because I believe that birth is a normal process and really enjoy helping women learn about their bodies through pregnancy; by empowering women with education they can be more involved in their healthcare and the choices made throughout their pregnancy and their entire life. |
